When and where will MIGS 2011 take place?
The eighth edition of MIGS will take place on November 1 and 2 at the Hilton Montreal Bonaventure Hotel:

What language will be used during the sessions?
All sessions are offered in English.
Call for speakers
How do I submit an application as a speaker?
Just send your request with the Call for Speakers Form before April 11, 2011. The MIGS Advisory Board will review all proposals and communicate with selected professionals. Your proposal should match one of five themes: Arts and VFX, Business, Design, Production and Technology.
Schedule
At what time does MIGS begin?
The registration desk opens at 8 AM on November 1 and 9 AM on November 2.
At what time do the first lectures start?
The keynote speeches begin at 10 AM, November 1 and 2, 2011.
What is the schedule for the exhibition zone?
The exhibition zone will be open from 8:00 AM to 6:15 PM on November 1 and 9:00 AM to 6:15 PM on November 2.
What is the schedule for the Business Lounge?
The Business Lounge will be open from 9 AM to 6 PM on November 1 and 9 AM to 5 PM on November 2.
Program
When will people get to know the complete program?
It will be possible to discover on-site all of the programming by the month of August.
What are the themes for MIGS 2011?
In order to offer programming related to the five main video game disciplines, MIGS organizes lectures about all of them: Arts and VFX, Business, Design, Production and Technology.
Registration
What are the registration fees for MIGS?
There are several pass types. You can find them on the Price List page.
How do I register to MIGS?
You can register online on our secure site and pay by credit card. An invoice will be sent to you once your registration is completed. It is also possible to register on-site, November 1 and 2.
Do members of the IGDA, SIGGRAPH or CIAIC have a discount? If so, how much is it worth?
Members of the IGDA, SIGGRAPH and CIAIC receive a 10% discount.
Is there other associations that can also receive a discount?
Alliance numérique members are granted a substantial discount depending on the type of pass they require. Please refer to the Price List.
Can you get a discount as a student? If so, how much is it worth?
Yes, students receive a 44% discount. However there is a maximum of 300 student passes.
How do I get a media pass?
You have to complete the Media Accreditation Form. Only journalists representing recognized media (magazines, Web sites, blogs, etc.) will receive certification.
Who do I contact if I am having trouble with the registration process or if I want to request information?
You can contact the registration department, open Monday through Friday, between 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM, at 514-848-7177, ext. 221 or toll free at 1 866 848-7177, ext. 221.
When will I get my badge? Where do I pick it up?
You can pick up your badge at the MIGS registration desk on November 1.
I’m already registered, but I want to change my registration. How do I do?
You must contact the registration department by phone at 514-848-7177, ext. 221 or toll free at 1 866 848-7177, ext. 221.
Can I register on-site?
Yes, you can proceed with your registration on-site at the opening on November 1. Only credit cards are accepted.
How do I register a group?
You can do this online with a credit card on our secure site. You must provide the name of each member of the group by filling out the form attached to your invoice.
Can I replace someone who is unable to attend?
Yes, but it is imperative to notify the registration department by calling at 514-848-7177, ext. 221 or toll-free at 1-866-848-7177, ext. 221.
Which credit cards are accepted?
MIGS accepts Visa and MasterCard.

What is the registration cost for the Business Lounge?

Exhibition Zone
Why should I visit the exhibition zone?
You will find exhibitors from all backgrounds carrying out all sorts of missions, whether it is in a studio, as a supplier or as a recruiter. The exhibition zone is also the place where competitions and rallies take place, etc.

Are MIGS attendees going to receive a discount for the Hilton Montreal Bonaventure Hotel?
Yes. Just click here to receive a discounted rate of $ 169 per night. A reasonable price allowing you to remain on-site all the time!
Is the airport far from the Hilton Montreal Bonaventure Hotel?
The Montreal-Trudeau Airport is located about 30 minutes away by taxi from downtown and the Hilton Montreal Bonaventure Hotel, which will host MIGS.
What is the weather in Montreal in November?
November marks the end of fall in the province of Quebec. So the weather is still mild. For information about the weather forecast, visit the Weather Channel Web site.
Volunteering
Is it possible to volunteer for the event?
Yes. You simply need to complete the Online Form and commit to work at least 15 hours in one of the functions required by the organizing committee. For more information, please visit the Volunteer page.
Are children allowed on-site?
For safety reasons, access to MIGS is prohibited for people under 18.
