Alternative Funding Strategies: What sources of funding exist for games developers outside of traditional sources such as work-for-hire publishing deals? This presentation will examine the different funding sources such as incubators/accelerators, angel and venture capital, and project financing.

Marc is an expert in new and interactive media specialized in corporate finance, structured finance and mergers and acquisitions. Marc is founder and Managing Director of Seahorn Capital Group, a boutique investment banking firm based in Los Angeles. He has advised investors and media companies including Warner Bros, Eidos Interactive, Film Finances Inc and THQ, and has arranged and managed more than $100 million in interactive media project financing. Previously, Marc served as Chief Executive Officer of independent game developer Player 1 where he managed partnerships with industry leaders including Sega, Midway, Interplay, and Universal. Prior to that Marc led business development and mergers and acquisitions for Atari and its parent, Infogrames Entertainment. He began his career working for Walt Disney Imagineering as a project manager on the design and construction of the Euro Disneyland theme park. Marc graduated with a Masters in Business Administration cum laude from the École des Hautes Études Commerciales de Paris (HEC Paris) and Bachelor degree in Economics from the University of Michigan. Marc is bilingual English/French and a dual citizen of the USA and France.
