Jake Theis, Senior Brand Director for Canadian developer Frima Studio, brings a unique perspective to the video game industry. Having years of experience working for traditional branding and licensing companies such as Hasbro, Topps, and NECA, Jake has managed some of the most iconic intellectual properties in the world. As a creative manager and brand manager for Magic: The Gathering and Magic: The Gathering Online, Jake developed more than a dozen products, releasing them in more than 40 countries and in nine different languages. With Topps, Jake managed a portfolio of licensed games including notable properties such as Star Wars, Marvel Comics, DC Comics, and Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean. Now, with Frima Studio, Jake leads a growing intellectual properties division, intent on developing unique, evocative new international brands.
